UPDATE: Busy Lafayette I-10 Exit/Entrance Ramp to Close for Improvements
(Lafayette, Louisiana) - If you will be hitting the highway this week, you will want to note the following closure information from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
I-10 @ Exit 103
I-10 Eastbound Exit Ramp at Exit 103B - I-49/US 167 (Opelousas) & I-49 SB Exit Ramp at Exit 1A - I-10 East (Baton Rouge) will be closed on the following nights.
- Sunday, June 16 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, June 17 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting. --> CANCELED
- Monday, June 17 at 8:00 p.m. until Tuesday, June 18 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting. --> NEW
- Tuesday, June 18 at 8:00 p.m. until Wednesday, June 19 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting. --> NEW
These ramp closures are necessary to allow crews to perform milling and paving operations for the I-10 ramps.
Motorists traveling on I-10 Eastbound will only be able to access I-49/US 167 (Opelousas) via the posted detour route, which includes continuing eastbound on I-10 to Exit 104 – Louisiana Ave, turn north on Louisiana Ave, then take I-10 Eastbound to Exit 103B – I-49/US 167 (Opelousas).
Motorists traveling on I-49 SB will only be able to access I-10 Eastbound via the posted detour route, which includes continuing southbound on I-49/US 90 to Willow Street, turning east on Willow Street, then taking US 90 Northbound to Exit 1A - I-10 East (Baton Rouge).
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the entrance and exit ramps on I-10 EB at Exit 103B – I-49/US 167 (Opelousas) & I-49 SB Exit Ramp at Exit 1A - I-10 East (Baton Rouge).
Detour routes will be posted during the ramp closure periods.
There will be no vehicle width restrictions with this work.
