A video posted to social media shows a man walking along a street in Scott, Louisiana, pulling on the doors of vehicles parked in front of houses.

The footage was taken from a residence on Lafayette Street, not far from Millls St.

As you'll see below, the man pulls on the door of a car, but the doors are locked. Then, he proceeded to go to the truck parked in front of the car, and he could enter the truck because the doors were not locked.

The suspect appeared to stay in the truck for quite a while, and we suspect that he was looking through the various compartments of the vehicle while all of the doors were closed.

It was not reported in the social media post if the man took anything from the truck, but the video below should be a reminder to all of us to lock the doors of our vehicles at all times.

Sadly, some people are roaming through neighborhoods at night looking for an opportunity, and by not locking the doors to your vehicle, you're inviting someone into your truck or car. Police also remind you to never leave anything valuable in your vehicle.

Too often, criminals get their hands on guns that are left in vehicles, and they use the weapons they steal to commit crimes in your community.

If you recognize this person pulling on doors to vehicles, you should contact the Scott Police Department at (337) 233-3715.
