LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL News) — A months-long investigation by the Lafayette Police Department’s Narcotics Division led to a major drug bust this week, resulting in the arrest of 23-year-old Trevis Hudson and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs, cash, and other evidence tied to alleged narcotics activity.

According to Sgt. Robin Green, the investigation began in December 2024, with detectives focusing on a group allegedly known as “Only Dem Doonies” (ODD). On April 10, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by Hudson and two associates.

During the stop, officers found approximately 29 grams of marijuana, 250 milliliters of Promethazine, and $1,720 in cash, all of which Hudson reportedly admitted to possessing. The total value of the marijuana alone was over $600,000.
