Mr. Chimetime is no longer just visiting Lafayette; at this point, he’s basically one of us.

The viral food reviewer has been searching for real Louisiana flavor since May, and while he’s had some unforgettable stops in the 337, Laura’s 2 (NEXT Generation) on University Avenue may have just changed the game completely.

“The restaurant EVERYONE told me to try,” he said.

And when he did? He got more than a good plate, he got a full-blown religious experience.

From the famous stuffed turkey wing to the fried fish, hamburger steak, and shrimp and grits, Mr. Chimetime couldn’t believe how flawless each dish was.

The sauces, gravies, spices, flavor profiles, and sides all hit on a level that had him calling it the highest-rated meal he’s ever had — period.

“Insane,” “100%,” and “the bar is in orbit” were just a few of the comments he received on social media in response to what Laura’s 2 did to him.

Giving Back Again: 100 Free Meals This Saturday

Moved by what he experienced in those plates, Chimetime is once again giving back.

Just like he did with JB’s Cruising Cuisine, he’s footing the bill for another 100 free meals, this time at Laura’s 2 on Saturday, July 26 from 10:30am to 2:30pm.

The response from fans has been overwhelming, and if Saturday’s anything like his review, folks better get there early.
