LOUISIANA - A major law enforcement operation in Louisiana has resulted in the arrest of 60 registered sex offenders accused of violating state laws and engaging in illegal online activity, according to Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill.

“Operation Restricted Domain” targeted offenders throughout the greater Baton Rouge area and involved multiple local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Officials say the crackdown is part of a growing statewide effort to protect children and pursue online crimes involving minors.

What Is Operation Restricted Domain?

According to the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, investigators spent two months tracking registered sex offenders who were allegedly violating Louisiana registration laws or participating in illegal online activity. According to WAFB, authorities used law enforcement databases and the state sex offender registry to identify suspects.

Officials confirmed that investigations are still ongoing and additional arrests or charges could follow.

WAFB reports authorities also revealed that, so far this year, investigators have made nearly 300 arrests tied to cyber crime investigations, identified dozens of child victims, and have rescued multiple children from ongoing abuse situations.

Similar Louisiana Operations Have Led To Dozens of Arrests

This is not the first major operation targeting sex offenders in Louisiana.

In late 2025, another statewide investigation known as “Operation Access Denied” led to the arrest of 67 registered sex offenders across North Louisiana. Authorities said many of those suspects were accused of additional crimes against children, including solicitation of minors and possession of child sexual abuse material.
