Who doesn't love a good off-the-path type of down-home restaurant that serves up dishes made from nothing but love and passion?

And, of course, we all love to eat really good in Louisiana. That's why many of us just love "Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives."

About "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives" on The Food Network

One of the signature shows on The Food Network, which stars celebrity chef Guy Fieri, features him taking cross-country road trips each week to visit some of America's "greasy spoon" restaurants.

All the times Louisiana hotspots have been featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives"

Over the years, "DDD" has showcased close to 30 Louisiana restaurants. Shamefully, Fieri has not filmed in the Acadiana area, but that's a beef with him for another day.

He recently visited multiple Baton Rouge-area restaurants, and those episodes either already aired in April or are coming up soon.

But what about some of the other Bayou State establishments the show has highlighted over the years?

When Guy Fieri features your restaurant on his show, that's usually good for business. But, as many of us know, the restaurant business is not for the faint of heart. It's not easy, and it can be quite volatile.

Along that line of thought, we wondered, "How are the restaurants featured on the show doing currently?"

Or rather, more succinctly put, "Have any of the Louisiana 'DDD' restaurants closed since being on the show?"

Some restaurants, unfortunately, have closed.

We did a little research, and sadly, not all of the spots are still in business. Below are the ones that are no longer operating.

6 Louisiana Spots from 'Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives' Now Closed

Guy Fieri has made several stops in Louisiana, but unfortunately, not all the hotspots he hits have long-term success. Here are the unfortunate ones that didn't last.
