A Certain Cookie is The Most Hated Food by Those in Louisiana
(KTDY) - In Louisiana, we love to cook, eat, and have a good time with family and friends. So a couple of days ago, I started researching what we truly love and what we don't.
Sure, most people in Louisiana love a good roux and gravy or gumbo, but what is the one food that we hate most in the "Bayou State?"
Yes, we all have our preferences when it comes to meat, seafood, and desserts, but there's one particular treat that Southern Thing says we hate the most.
When I saw what each state hates the most, I immediately thought of things like mayonnaise, tuna, sour cream, and beans. However, none of those mentioned is the most hated food in Louisiana.
Louisiana's Most Hated Food
Accordiing to Southern Thing, the one food item that most people hate in our state is the Raisin Cookie. Now, I don't have the data to support my claim, but I bet that cookie is unpopular in Louisiana because most people here simply don't care for raisins.
Like some other food items, I feel like raisins are one of those thiings that you either love or hate; there's no in between.
Personally, I'm in the minority on this one. I actually like, not love, raisin cookies. I don't know how or why I liked them from a young age, but raisin cookies aren't the worst in my opinion. Now, Pesto or Tofu, that's just gross to me.

Foods People Hate in the South
While Louisiana hates raisin cookies, our neighbors to the west, Texas, cannot stand their steaks being overcooked. In Arkansas, the most hated food is cilantro, and in Mississippi, east of Louisiana, they hate Sour Cream.
