Louisiana and Texas to Be Impacted by Labor Day Cool Front
(KTDY) - As many of us anxiously await the Labor Day weekend in the Deep South, we have some great news to share with you.
Not only will many of you enjoy the long weekend to wrap up summer, but for many in the Deep South, we will be gifted an early cool front to wrap up the month of August.
Now, while this "Fake Fall" front may not have a significant impact on daytime temperatures, meteorologists note that the lower humidity levels could make your Labor Day plans outdoors much more pleasurable.
Extended forecasts still call for warm days, but at night, temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-60s, which is perfect weather to start the month of September.
Again, this cool front will not have the same impact as a late October cool front, but any break from the extreme heat and high humidity levels will be a treat for all of us as we celebrate the Labor Day weekend.
Let us also mention that, with the potential cool front pushing further southward, there's nothing to worry about in the immediate forecast regarding tropical disturbances in the Gulf.
