Pilot Over Acadiana Spots Pond in The Shape of Louisiana
(Sunset, Louisiana) - A photo circulating on social media shows a pond in the shape of Louisiana, and many are now saluting not only the property owner but the pilot who took the photo as well.
The photo taken from above shows a private pond shaped like Louisiana, and now many people are asking where it is located.
I spoke to the passenger in the plane who took the photo, Blaine Williams, and he says the pond is located in the area of Sunset and Church Point.
The private pond is located behind a few houses or buildings, and whoever designed it deserves applause. Now, if you own this property or know who owns it near Sunset, please contact me because I think it would be really cool to cast a line in a pond shaped like Louisiana, or jump into it on a hot south Louisiana day.
Also, imagine if you are a state politician and you need the perfect image for an upcoming campaign. Is this pond not the perfect symbol for any type of ad? After all, we are known as the "Sportsman's Paradise."
Since Williams posted this photo of the Louisiana-shaped pond, others have commented, noting that there are other ponds in south Louisiana shaped like various things. Some noted ponds are shaped like the fleur-de-lis, and others are shaped like LSU. IIt sounds like some pond owners in Louisiana have gotten creative with their designs.
Again, I thank Blaine Williams for this photo, and I feel, deep down, that the property owners will appreciate it too.
